Nanjing Electric Technology Group recently launched a training event on safety risk identification, control, and standardization of "Five-Minute" pre-shift meetings, aligning with China's 24th National Safety Production Month theme. The event was attended by Shen Qirong, Deputy GM of Baiyun Electric Group and GM of NETG, Chen Xiongqing, Deputy GM of NETG, and frontline team leaders, marking a new chapter in safety management through a "theoretical empowerment + practical implementation" dual-driven model.

Liu Guole, safety supervisor, delivered a training session under the "Dual Prevention Mechanism" framework, highlighting risk grading control and hidden hazard investigation as the "two firewalls" of safety. Using case studies like missing grinding machine guards and gas cylinder hazards, he outlined the "risk identification-assessment-control" methodology, advocating proactive risk prevention over reactive emergency response.

Addressing formalism in grassroots pre-shift meetings, the event adopted a "video demonstration-experience sharing-standardized training" approach. Live recordings of exemplary pre-shift meetings from Insulator and High-Voltage Bushings companies showcased standardized processes, including dynamic risk identification and emergency response micro-training. Zuo, a team leader from New Materials Company, shared insights on translating safety protocols into operational habits. Wang Kaixuan, EHS Supervisor, detailed the "Five-Minute" meeting standards, emphasizing PPE inspection to solidify pre-shift meetings as the frontline safety defense.

In his speech, Deputy GM Chen Xiongqing stressed ending "slogan-only" pre-shift meetings, urging team leaders to enhance lean management and refine position-specific risk identification. Nanjing Electrics will optimize safety reward-punishment systems and leverage PDCA cycle management to implement GM Shen's vision for the "Five-Minute" safety brand.

Guided by the principle "Safety Above All," GM Shen Qirong proposed three mandates:
1.Embed safety in top management agendas, establishing a "top-down" responsibility system.
2.Empower team leaders as "safety first-responders" to lead risk assessments and fortify grassroots defenses amid heavy production loads.
3.Deepen "Five-Minute" meeting mechanisms, mandating management personnel to take the lead in interpreting the process core and cultivating a safety culture of "shared responsibility" to transform safety awareness into action.
He concluded with a pledge: "Come to work happily, return home safely – this is our bottom-line commitment and the core of our safety brand."

Nanjing Electrics will leverage this training to deepen team safety culture, integrating standardized pre-shift meetings with operational efficiency. With a focus on "systematic prevention, lean management, and all-staff engagement", Nanjing Electrics aims to build a safety framework for high-quality development and underpin its centenary strategic goals.
