On the afternoon of September 7, 2020, the inaugural meeting of Nanjing Intelligent Manufacturing Equipment Industry Promotion Association was held in Jiangning Convention and Exhibition Center. Zhang Jinghua, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, gave instructions. Long Xiang, director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress and the leader of the city's intelligent manufacturing equipment industry chain, attended the inaugural meeting and delivered a speech. Baiyun Electric Group East China Headquarters and Nanjing Electric General Manager Shen Qirong attended the meeting, and Nanjing Electric Technology Co., Ltd. was elected as the governing unit.

In order to implement the requirements of "six stability and six guarantees" and promote the high-quality development of 8 key industrial chains, Nanjing has adopted a characteristic approach of "chain length system" and established corresponding work promotion mechanisms, including the establishment of a set of decision-making consultation systems for each industrial chain . The Intelligent Manufacturing Equipment Industry Promotion Association, a supporting consulting organization for the intelligent manufacturing equipment industry chain, was officially inaugurated after two months of preparation. The promotion association is voluntarily formed by Nanjing's intelligent manufacturing equipment industry-related enterprises, community organizations, universities, scientific research institutes, and intermediary institutions in accordance with the principle of equal and mutually beneficial cooperation. It is an industrial and non-profit social organization with independent legal personality. . The promotion committee also specially invited 20 experts including Shan Zhongde, Zhao Chunsheng, Zhu Meifang, and Yan Chunhua, including 6 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Sciences, to serve as consultants to provide high-end think tank support for the promotion of work and the development of the intelligent manufacturing equipment industry.
